10 reasons not to trust Alan Lewis
Logline: Jason
sits down one morning wanting to relax, but his plans change when things start
to move and disappear.
SCENE OPEN
Jason is sitting in his chair, he swings to his left side
and places his cup of coffee on a small side table. He reaches round to the
right to grab the remote for the TV. He presses a button turning the TV on and
turns back to the table with the cup. He reaches across not reverting his eyes
from the TV screen. Jason’s hand gapes at thin air. He looks down and realises,
the cup has disappeared. Jason looks over both arms of the chair and even
sitting on his knees to look over the back. He catches view of the cup in the
hallway entrance. Jason groans and gets off the chair to go get it. He gets to
the doorway and grabs the cup. Jason freezes. Time is frozen. His chair is seen
being pushed in front of him by an unseen person.
Time is unfrozen and Jason lifts up the cup and turns around
to see the chair directly in front of him. Jason shakes his head and scoffs. Jason
disgruntledly moves the chair back to where it came from. He looks up and moves
into the middle of the room.
Jason and time freezes again as the unseen person, Alan,
appears from the hallway with a medium full cup of water. Holding back his
laughter, he neatly places it on Jason’s head. Still laughing he heads to the
chair only to regain his composure as soon as he hide behind it. Time unfreezes
and Jason moves slightly. Causing the glass on his head to tumble forward, spilling
all its contents down Jason’s front. Jason cries out in anguish and frustration.
He angrily goes over to the table and grabs the baseball bat. Jason runs back
and begins to flail the bat around wildly. Alan is seen holding his hand over
his mouth, constantly laughing. Time freezes again mid swing. Alan emerges from
behind the chair with a marker. He goes up to Jason’s face and starts to draw a
moustache. Just as he finishes, time unfreezes unexpectedly. Jason’s bat makes
contact with Alan’s face, forcing him to be knocked sideways. Alan lands on the
floor and looks up at Jason in terror. Jason looms over him with the bat in
hand. He smiles evilly as Alan gulps. Jason swings the bat.
Alan rolls to the right, out of the road and stands up. He begins
to run around the room as Jason chases after him. Jason, swinging the bat
rapidly, is destroying everything in the room while trying to hit Alan. Alan is
backed into the corner by Jason. He goes to hit him as Alan closes his eyes
accepting his fate.
Time freezes again. Jason freezes. Alan opens his eyes and
smirks. He stands up and laughs, accomplished. Alan stares and smiles at Jason,
like he’s won. He points and sneers. But the tip of Alan’s finger touches Jason’s
arm. Jason regains movement and turns to face Alan. Alan runs to the other side
of the room and jumps on the table. Jason freezes and unfreezes, but when he unfreezes
he is wearing a pink dress. Jason looks down at his new attire, confused. He looks
to his side and sees Alan laughing and crying on the floor. Jason’s bat disappears
and reappears in Alan’s hands. He smirks and shrugs. Alan lets out a big smile
and throws the bat over his shoulder. Jason backs into a corner holding his
hands up and pleading. Alan goes to swing the bat.

gets up and stands beside Alan, with his hands on his hips, admiring their handy
work. The look at each other and chuckle. They turn, together and head out the
hallway door.

A man walks through the hallway door into the demolished
house. He looks up and drops his jaw. His keys and coat fall to the floor. The
